About

The 2020 High School Golf Coaches Conference will be heading to Orlando Florida January 24th and 25th. This conference will be run in conjunction with the PGA Merchandise show taking place January 21st-24th.

This conference will be limited to active high school golf coaches, assistant coaches and PGA Professionals. Due to golf course constraints and the goal of having intimate and interactive learning sessions, space will be limited and on a first come first serve basis.

Conference Schedule

Tuesday January 21st-Friday January 24th

PGA Show Demo Day and Merchandise show. All high school coach conference attendees will receive a week-long badge to the Merchandise Show

Friday January 24th – Orange County Convention Center (4 MSR Credits)

8-11:30am – PGA Merchandise Show Floor Open

11:30-12:30pm – Welcome from PGA of America Leadership & Buffet Lunch

12:30-4:30pm – Classroom education from elite coaches, experts and PGA Professionals

Evening – Informal networking for coaches and PGA Professionals at a local bar

Saturday January 25th – Eagles Dream Golf Academy / Timacuan Golf Course (3 MSR Credits) 

9am-12pm – On-course instruction, practice drills, and coaching tips taught by top PGA Professionals and instructors

12pm-12:45pm – Lunch and warm-up

1pm – Coaches Cup golf tournament (shotgun format) – Professional and Amateur divisions

**The Orange County Convention Center is located 33 miles (42 minutes) from the Timacuan Golf Course. Please allow enough time to get to the golf course on Saturday AM. 

Hotels

We recommend staying near the Orange County Convention Center for your hotel accommodations. There are many options and price points for hotels within walking distance to the convention center, restaurants and entertainment. Use this link to review different options in the area.

The Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando is the most budget conscious, recommended option within walking distance to the convention center. Booking directly on the Rosen website will help you secure the best rate available.

**If you are renting a car, please be aware some hotels charge parking fees

Rental Cars

No transportation will be provided for the conference. The MCO airport does provide many options including public bus, taxis, rent cars or ride sharing (Uber/Lyft). Getting from MCO to the Orange Country Convention Center on International Drive is easy. Airport travel options

We recommend renting a car to get from the Convention Center to Timacuan Golf Course (~45 mins). Cars can be rented at the airport or near the convention center through National/Enterprise/Alamo at the Hyatt Regency Hotel
